The Arts have been a central element of primary school curriculum since the 1960s. As a childcare worker you need to know how to do core art techniques and what art materials to use with children. For this course you will compile a selection of art techniques and materials and write about these linking with other creative practice activities. The creative practice activities we will cover will consist of music, puppet making and gallery visits . You will also learn how to plan and carry out creative activities with children. The course does not have an exam you are marked on your portfolio of course work and a project consisting of a a display plan and a seission plan + creative arts activity carried out with children
